Reading: what this result means for the job
A full chart of container sizes for the closet. The value of the chart is that every size on it was calculated from the same ratio, so a custodian cannot mix two strengths from the same label.
Applicability limit
Every amount depends on the ratio and the convention you selected, and the container sizes you entered. A chart is safe only when it names the product, the ratio and the date, and when the container sizes on it are the ones in the closet. This is a planning figure for the values entered, not a measured result. Coverage rates, product yields and application rates are properties of a specific product, applicator and substrate, and the label or data sheet for the product you are using always takes precedence over the default here. The EPA-registered label governs. Using a registered antimicrobial inconsistently with its labeling is unlawful under 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(2)(G), and 40 CFR 156.10(i)(2)(ii) requires every label to carry that statement. This tool does arithmetic; it does not approve a dilution, and it does not determine compliance.

What to check

  • Print the chart with the product name, the ratio and the date on it.
  • Check the chart against the product label before it goes on the wall.
  • Remove the chart from the closet when the product or the ratio changes.

A mixing wall chart is only safe when it names the product, the ratio and the date, and when the container sizes on it match the ones in the closet. Recalculate it whenever the product or the ratio changes.
