Reading: what this result means for the job
A restroom fleet. At this number of restrooms the route and the frequency drive the labour, and the consumables per visit are worth checking against what the restock actually costs.
Applicability limit
The minutes per visit and the consumables per visit are the two figures that have to be measured locally, and the labour rate is a loaded rate. This is a service cost, not a chemical cost, and it excludes the washroom accessories contract unless you have folded it into the consumable figure. This is a planning figure for the values entered, not a measured result. Coverage rates, product yields and application rates are properties of a specific product, applicator and substrate, and the label or data sheet for the product you are using always takes precedence over the default here. Cost covers the chemical only, at the price entered. It excludes labour, equipment, applicators, consumables, freight, storage, waste disposal and any over-pour that the allowance does not capture.

What to check

  • Time a realistic visit, including restocking consumables and walking time.
  • Count visits delivered, not visits scheduled.
  • Check the chemical figure covers every consumable used in the restroom.

The cost of a restroom service is mostly labour and mostly driven by how long the visit takes. Minutes per visit is a measured number, and a restroom with more fixtures, more consumables or a longer walk is a different job.
