Per-Gallon Dose Calculator

Convert the different ways a label states a dose into one comparable figure, so a 1 oz per 128 oz label can be compared with a 1:128 label.

Inputs

Choose the option that matches the product label or the job scope.

Range: 0.001–100,000

Enter the measured or label value in the units shown.

Range: 0–1,000,000 per gallon

Enter the current purchase price in US dollars for the unit shown.

Reading: what this result means for the job
The dose is stated as ounces per gallon, which is the most direct of the four forms. The equivalent ratio below lets you compare it with a product that states its dose as a ratio.
Applicability limit
The conversion follows the wording you selected. The four forms are not the same number: an ounce per gallon, an ounce per 128 ounces, a ratio and a percentage all describe slightly different mixes, and this tool keeps the one you chose visible rather than guessing. This is a planning figure for the values entered, not a measured result. Coverage rates, product yields and application rates are properties of a specific product, applicator and substrate, and the label or data sheet for the product you are using always takes precedence over the default here. The EPA-registered label governs. Using a registered antimicrobial inconsistently with its labeling is unlawful under 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(2)(G), and 40 CFR 156.10(i)(2)(ii) requires every label to carry that statement. This tool does arithmetic; it does not approve a dilution, and it does not determine compliance.

What to check

  • Read the dose wording on the label rather than the number alone.
  • Check whether the label means ounces per gallon of water or per gallon of solution.
  • Compare the equivalent ratio against a second product before swapping them.

Related calculators

Labels state a dose in at least four ways: a ratio, ounces per gallon, ounces per 128 ounces, and millilitres per litre. They are not the same numbers, and the site keeps the convention visible rather than guessing which one was meant. The equivalent figures are given per gallon of working solution, because a ready-to-use price is quoted against that and not against the concentrate.
